40 Days for Life – Each fall, Madison joins hundreds of cities across North America in conducting 40 Days for Life, an around-the-clock vigil to end abortion at Madison’s Planned Parenthood abortion facility. Interested individuals can participate by serving as prayer warriors, who silently pray for an end to abortion, as well as sidewalk counselors, who are trained to reach out to women seeking abortion. In 2010, VFL joined the Spring 40 Days for Life vigil, held daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Madison Surgery Center (1 S. Park Street).
The Fall 2011 40 Days for Life campaign is again a 24 hours/day prayer campaign at Planned Parenthood (3706 Orin Road, Madison, WI 53704). It begins Wednesday, September 28 and runs to Sunday, November 6, 2011. Online scheduling for vigil hours is available by clicking ”Vigil Schedule” on the top of this page. “365 for Life” – You may use the same scheduling tool to sign-up for our “365 for Life” initiative, which is the perpetual peaceful vigil campagin that we began in January 2011. Since then, we have had prayer warriors on the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood every day that the abortion facility has been opened… except when a blizzard hit.
