Thank you to all who came out for the Defund Planned Parenthood rally on Saturday, 2/11 morning. Our rally was one of around 200 that happened throughout the United States at Planned Parenthood facilities. Many rallies had counter protesters as did ours. Thankfully, with the exception of angry words, chants and signs – we had a peaceful rally. A hidden blessing of having counter protesters at our rally was that the media showed up and the news story (for once) did not have a pro-abortion slant. An interesting thing is that the interview of the Planned Parenthood supporter was from a different location – it was not one of the counter protesters at Planned Parenthood in Madison.

If you were not able to make it to the rally, you can still help defund Planned Parenthood:
1. Contact your U.S. Representative and Senators! Tell them to support the Congressional effort to defunding Planned Parenthood.
2. Share the truth about Planned Parenthood! Talk to friends and neighbors. Spread the word on social media. Write a letter to the editor.
3. Get involved with #ProtestPP! Visit ProtestPP.com for updates on the defunding effort and urgent calls to action.
4. Sign up with Vigil for Life – Madison to peacefully and prayerfully witness for LIFE.

Prayer to Defund Planned Parenthood
By: Priests for Life
Lord of Life and Truth,
Your Providence guides the course of history.
You have conquered death
And have made us the People of Life.
You call us to fight the evil of abortion
And the forces that promote it.
We therefore ask you to grant wisdom and mercy to our nation.
Give our government leaders the courage
To put an end to the funding
Of the largest abortion business in the world.
Give all of us the courage to insist
That public funding only be used
For the protection and promotion of life
Rather than for its destruction.
Give us hopeful hearts and joyful spirits
As we continue to proclaim, celebrate, and serve
The Gospel of Life.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
