17 open hours this week!

“Our hearts must become strong, to make the divine heartbeat into the law of life again.” – Fr. Alfred Delp

I would add that our hearts that are broken because of all of the lives lost due to abortion can only be healed if we let the divine heartbeat become our own heartbeat!  Come, Lord Jesus, please make our hearts like unto thine! Come, Lord Jesus, come!

The one in whose name all oppression shall cease.

And prepare for his coming at the end of time.

25 open hours this week!

Today we mourn the loss of our dear Shepherd, His Excellency Bishop Robert C. Morlino.  We were so blessed to have him lead our diocese for 15 years.  He was such a bright light in the present darkness, always leading us and others to Christ. Bishop Morlino was very supportive of our witness for Christ and for LIFE in Madison.  We will be forever grateful for that support and for his life that he lived by trusting in God. Please pray for the repose of Bishop Morlino’s soul.  We will miss him dearly.

Into your hands, O Father, our ineffable God, we humbly entrust our dear Bishop, Robert C. Morlino.

In this life you embraced him with your tender love; deliver him now from every evil and bid him eternal rest.

The old order has passed away: welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,

but fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.

Thanksgiving Prayer by Debbie McDaniel
Dear God, Thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives, thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. Thank you for your great love and care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that we might have freedom and life. Forgive us for when we don’t thank you enough, for who you are, for all that you do, for all that you’ve given. Help us to set our eyes and our hearts on you afresh. Renew our spirits, fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you, this day and every day. We give you praise and thanks, for You alone are worthy! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

28 open hours this week!

“Freedom is a serious thing. It is responsibility. If you were to throw your child from the balcony, you’d suffer the consequences legally, but especially humanly. The ache would haunt you every day of your life. You’d have to learn to live with it, and if you didn’t learn to forgive yourself (a long, arduous, difficult journey), it would wear you down to the bone. If you do the equivalent when the child is in your womb, you can avoid the legal consequences (prison), but humanly, the pain weighs down every fiber of your being …  The fact that it is legal is like an anesthetic: you have a pain in your soul, you anesthetize it socially, so you’re better. But it is just asleep: the pain is there, and remains temporarily anesthetized inside you, but your conscience awakens it from time to time, and it’s excruciating, frustrating, and in some cases devastating.

“Today, I who killed my child want to say: Legalization of abortion? It’s a huge deception. Our sacred freedom, which has life and death consequences, is being deceived: ‘Do what you want, your life is yours alone.’ [It’s] is a huge lie in this case, because there are actually two lives involved (three, really, because there is a father) and one of the three is totally innocent; and supposedly that “life” is yours. “Death” is yours, I should say… oh, what a deception, now that I see, now that I understand; it’s a deception disguised as progress, as false freedom.

“Millions of anesthetized women are wandering the world when they could have enjoyed a single kiss with their sweet baby: maybe he would be sick or disabled, maybe healthy … but each baby is the expression of a truth that nobody can misunderstand … life is always life … I am so grateful to the pope who says — speaking about abortion — “Is it right to rent a hitman to take someone out? Is it right?” This question should be shouted out and I want to cry out too: “Women, do not put your children in the hands of a hitman! They will die, and you will die with them, day after day … I did it and I am still dying. Don’t do it!”

“There are pro-life help centers in every city: that’s where you have to go. And if your baby is sick, look for the first mother you know who has a disabled child and ask her to tell you from the bottom of her heart what life has revealed to her. Do not be fooled by those who say it is only suffering … It is not so; every story is always, and above all, a love story. On my knees I beg you: if my words lead you to save your child’s life, I will also feel that you saved mine.” – Marina (a post-abortive mother)
Thank you to all who took part in our most recent 40 Days for Life campaign! It is always amazing that we are able to fill 40 days with a 24/7 peaceful, prayerful presence.  Only God can make that happen!  Thank you for listening to God speaking to your hearts to witness for life during our most recent 40 Days for Life campaign.  Across all of the 400+ cities around the world that hosted a 40 Days for Life fall campaign, 510 babies and mothers lives(that we know of so far) were saved from abortion!  That is what God can do with your peaceful, prayerful presence!
Now, we’ve transitioned into our 365 for Life campaign.

81 open hours for the rest of this 40 Days for Life campaign!

Yesterday the Madison International Socialist Organization came out to protest our 40 Days for Life campaign from 11a.m. – 1 p.m.  Really, what they were doing is throwing a BIG temper tantrum.  They want us to agree that “abortion is health care” and “abortion is a right” yet, of course, we cannot do that.  We say “No, abortion is not healthcare. No, abortion is not a right.” They don’t like being told, “No”, so they throw a BIG temper tantrum.  As parents, we have all dealt with temper tantrums.  Some ways to deal with them include: 1. Ignore it and say, “I can’t hear you when you are throwing a temper tantrum.”  2. Remove the child to another room/location until the child is finished. 3. Remain silent – Wait it out and stand by patiently until the child is finished.

The same strategies hold true when dealing with the Socialists BIG temper tantrums.  The difference is that they are supposed to be adults.  (Not that they are in any way acting like adults.)  We also add #4 to the list of how to deal with a Socialist BIG temper tantrum. Call the police (911) if they show up and start berating you.  They should be arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment.

We don’t anticipate that they will come by at random times.  They organize counter protest events that thankfully we are able to find out about and alert the police so they will have a presence there when the Socialists come out.  If the Socialists plan to be out during a time you are there, you will be notified by us.

They are trying to intimidate us so that we will not witness for LIFE outside of Planned Parenthood anymore.

Today is Day 33! Just 7 more 24/7 days to go in this 40 Days for Life campaign.

A Prayer to St. Jude for Tomorrow

St. Jude, you are with me in all that is new. May your path of hope be mine in the days ahead. I promise in faith to share your hope with others, to forgive as I am forgiven by my Father in heaven, and to show sympathy and kindness at every opportunity. Guide me, St. Jude, so that I will begin each new day with gratitude on my lips, with truth on my mind, and with hope in my heart. Challenge me, St. Jude, so that I will end each day reflecting on my actions and motivations so that I will grow in faith, love, and hope.

Amen.
