Let us prepare ourselves in prayer for the start of 40 Days for Life(in 1 day!)
today, asking for the Holy Spirit to inspire and strengthen us!
Let us pray,
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in
them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be
created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
You, on those who evermore You confess and You Adore, in Your
sevenfold gift, Descend; Give Them Comfort when they die; Give them
Life with You on high; Give them joys which never end.
Come, O Divine Spirit, fill my heart with Thy heavenly fruits, Thy
charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, faith, mildness,
and temperance, that I may never weary in the service of God, but by
continued faithful submission to Thy inspiration may merit to be
united eternally with Thee in the love of the Father and the Son.
We ask the Holy Spirit to guide and animate this fall’s 40 Days for
Life from start to finish. May it be only for God’s glory. May it be
an act of love toward our neighbors. May our prayer, fasting and
witness please our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
