3 open hours on Wednesday – An Abortion Day!

Many moms turn around and choose life at an abortion facility (In fact, we received word from one of our prayer warriors this past Tuesday that he received confirmation that a young Mom he spoke with told him that she chose life for her baby. Praise God!) … but many more do not.

The reality is that your prayerful presence is the last sign of hope for the baby before the abortion …

… and your presence is also the first sign of mercy to the woman after the abortion.

Vigil for Life is a campaign of love and mercy. While the baby’s life is in urgent need of saving, it can’t be forgotten that abortion has lifelong, negative effects on mothers, fathers and extended families.

Please bring your love and mercy via your prayerful presence to the sidewalk this week.

Tuesday, 2/23 – 1 needed at 1p and 1 needed at 2p.

Wednesday, 2/24 – 2 needed at 12p and 1 needed at 1p.

Thursday, 2/25 – 1 needed at 3p; 1 needed at 4p and 1 needed at 5p.

Friday, 2/26 – 1 needed at 1p and 1 needed at 2p.

Looking for an extra sacrifice to make for Lent? Time spent in prayer every week on the sidewalk (in the cold) planting good seeds might be your answer!

“We can think of Lent as a time to eradicate evil or cultivate virtue, a time to pull up weeds or to plant good seeds. Which is better is clear, for the Christian ideal is always positive rather than negative. A person is great not by the ferocity of his hatred of evil, but by the intensity of his love for God. Asceticism and mortification are not the ends of a Christian life; they are only the means. The end is charity. Penance merely makes an opening in our ego in which the Light of God can pour. As we deflate ourselves, God fills us. And it is GOD’s arrival that is the important event.” -Fulton J. Sheen

Prayer
By: Kevin Burke, Exec. Director, Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries

Lord, during these forty days, we ask that with each day of this sacred vigil, everything in us that separates us from your perfect will would be pruned from our hearts and souls.

In this blessed freedom may we experience a powerful anointing of your Holy Spirit. Filled with confidence and trust may we proclaim with the mother of Jesus, “Let it be done to me, according to your Word.” Amen.
