Today is the 44th Anniversary of the tragic Roe v. Wade decision. Since then, nearly 60 million babies lives have been lost to abortion and countless other lives are suffering the negative effects that abortion brings. It was sad to see so many people take to the streets yesterday in their cities to vehemently defend abortion. A certain phrase used by our Lord comes to mind: “Forgive them, Father, they know not what they do.”
Yet there is hope! The overall abortion rate continues to fall in Wisconsin and in the U.S. Certainly the peaceful, prayerful witness given by all of you Warriors for Life outside of abortion facilities are a factor in that decline.
We need your witness this week!

Prayer for Life in Reparation for Roe v. Wade by: Priests for Life
God and Father of Life,
You have created every human person,
And have opened the way for each to have eternal life.
We live in the shadow of death.
Tens of millions of your children have been killed
because of the Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion.
Father, have mercy on us.
Heal our land
And accept our offering of prayer and penance.
In your love for us,
Turn back the scourge of abortion.
May each of us exult in hearts full of hope
And hands full of mercy
And work together to build a culture of life.
We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
