Currently the Women’s Care Center – Madison is serving 153 expectant mothers. Isn’t that beautiful? While we don’t know how many of those 153 expectant mothers have been pointed to the Women’s Care Center by our presence, we can be assured that they have all been helped by our prayers.

Departure time is 9:30a.m. on Jan. 15th from the Dutch Mill Dane County Park and Ride, US 12/18 at Stoughton Road. Please arrive by 9a.m. for boarding. A Christmas Day Prayer from Priests for Life
Praise to You, Lord God!

You have become one of us — You have become a human being, while still retaining all your power and holiness as God!

You, O Lord, made the journey of the unborn child. By being an embryo, a fetus, and a newborn, you joined all unborn and newborn children to you!

From the beginning of history, O Lord, You were the Creator of every human life. Now, with Christmas, You join Yourself in an unthinkable way with the life You created.

Let this Christmas, O God, fill all of us with awe and wonder at how close human life is to You. Cleanse the world of all that tarnishes and rejects this gift. Purify our hearts of all that fears this gift.

Let our Christmas joy be the joy of welcoming every human life! Amen!

It was reported that this morning that one of our sidewak counselors spoke with a young woman whose friend was in Planned Parenthood for an abortion. Our sidewalk counselor told her to go in and get her friend. She did just that and the young mother chose LIFE for her baby and for herself! The sidewalk counselor had asked for St. Lucy’s intercession to help save this baby! Ad Majoram Dei Gloriam!

The most recent campaign was conducted from September 28 to November 6. In answer to prayers from around the world, God’s mercy was clearly evident:
367 locations; 24 countries; 105,000 participants; 4,700 churches; 872 lives saved from abortion; 8 abortion workers quit
Since the first coordinated 40 Days for Life campaign took place in 2007 through the end of 2015, local campaign leaders have reported these blessings — God’s answers to their prayers:
4,535 total campaigns; 675 cities; 40 countries; 725,000 individual participants; 19,000 churches; 12,668 lives saved from abortion; 141 abortion workers quit; 75 abortion facilities closed

Andrew McAlpin, O.P. (Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Madison). The retreat will run December 2 through December 3 at Durward’s Glen Retreat Center in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Anyone working to protect innocent life, or concerned about building a culture of life is welcome to attend. The cost of the retreat is $65 per person. Scholarships are available.

from Priests for Life

God of Life,
We rejoice in the promise of your coming.

You have sent your Son, born in Bethlehem.
He is the Prince of Peace, and
The one in whose name all oppression shall cease.

May we welcome his coming each day
And prepare for his coming at the end of time.
May we build a culture that welcomes him
By welcoming every child, born and unborn.

This past week, we found out that another Security Guard at Planned Parenthood has gotten out! Praise God! We also had, at least, one turn-away where a young mother heard of the Women’s Care Center from our sidewalk counselors and immediately went over there instead of keeping her appointment at Planned Parenthood. We need your witness this week!

Father of mercies,
God of all creation,
Source of life and of every blessing,
We thank you today, and every day of our lives,
For all that you give us!

Our thanksgiving is not only a duty,
But a joy and a source of strength,
Because it reminds us of your faithful love,
And inspires us with the hope of a future filled with blessings!

Lord, we thank you for guiding our fathers,
Who, inspired by the prophets
And by the saving work of your Son,
Founded a nation where all might live as one,
Acknowledging their dependence on you
As the source of their right to life.

We thank you for your blessings in the past,
And for all that, with your help, we must yet achieve.

We ask you to bless us as we thank you,
That our giving thanks may be accompanied by our firm resolve
