Thank you to all who came out for the Defund Planned Parenthood rally on Saturday, 2/11 morning.  Our rally was one of around 200 that happened throughout the United States at Planned Parenthood facilities.   Many rallies had counter protesters as did ours.  Thankfully, with the exception of angry words, chants and signs – we had a peaceful rally.  A hidden blessing of having counter protesters at our rally was that the media showed up and the news story (for once) did not have a pro-abortion slant.  An interesting thing is that the interview of the Planned Parenthood supporter was from a different location – it was not one of the counter protesters at Planned Parenthood in Madison.

The time has come to defund America’s abortion giant! Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion chain, killing over 300,000 babies each year, and nearly half of their billion dollar budget comes from our tax dollars.
But now the new 115th Congress is moving to strip Planned Parenthood of that money! On February 11, pro-lifers like you will take to the streets to demand our government stops funding an organization that specializes in killing children.
Join us at the Planned Parenthood facility at 3706 Orin Rd. in Madison as we protest and pray for an end to Planned Parenthood’s massive government subsidy, and an end to abortion in our country.

This past week we had, at least, one (1) woman go over to the Women’s Care Center when our sidewalk counselors told her about it as opposed to going into Planned Parenthood.  We are so thankful that God put the Women’s Care Center across the street!

Good afternoon all!  The time for our Roe v. Wade Prayer Vigil has changed to 1 p.m. tomorrow – Wednesday, 1/25/17.  We are hoping the weather will be good for driving!

Please join us for our annual prayer vigil to mark the anniversary of the tragic 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. This decision legalized abortion in every state in our nation. Since 1973, over 58 million babies’ lives have been lost to abortion with countless other lives suffering from its effects.

This year’s Roe v. Wade prayer vigil will be led by Fr. Tufadzwa Kushamba onWednesday, January 25 at 1 p.m. on the sidewalk outside of Planned Parenthood at 3706 Orin Rd. in Madison.

Today is the 44th Anniversary of the tragic Roe v. Wade decision.  Since then, nearly 60 million babies lives have been lost to abortion and countless other lives are suffering the negative effects that abortion brings.  It was sad to see so many people take to the streets yesterday in their cities to vehemently defend abortion.  A certain phrase used by our Lord comes to mind: “Forgive them, Father, they know not what they do.”

In May 2016, the Planned Parenthood abortion facility at 3706 Orin Road on Madison’s east side began providing abortions only, 40 hours a week every week.

By the grace of God and lots of elbow grease from dedicated volunteers, we have had a presence on the sidewalk nearly 30 hours per week. This means that we have had more and more turnarounds, blessed moments when women leave Planned Parenthood, very often crossing the street to go to the Women’s Care Center.

But, with abortions-only at Planned Parenthood and a national movement to defund the abortion giant, it’s not time to rest on our laurels. It’s time to TURN UP THE HEAT!

We are pleased to announce that we intend to hire a part-time executive director who will complement and expand the work of our volunteers. Building on our foundation, we believe that this executive director can build our vigil and, in God’s time, close down Planned Parenthood.

Already, some trailblazers have made pledges of on-going monthly support of $25, $50 or $100 toward the $25,000 ($20,000 for salary with $5,000 for taxes) we need to raise annually. We are 40% of the way toward this $25,000 goal.

While Vigil for Life will be funding our executive director position, Pro-Life Wisconsin will be administering payroll and taxes for us. The monthly gifts will be directed to Pro-Life Wisconsin’s Education Fund and set aside for this position. The Pro-Life Wisconsin Education Fund is designed so that gifts may be up to 100% tax-deductible! Once we have $25,000 per year pledged through monthly gifts, we will actually begin funding the position. Our goal is to be completely funded by February 1.

If we want to end abortion in Madison – which we sincerely do—we must accelerate our life-saving outreach and prayer vigil coverage on the sidewalk. This executive director position is the next logical step. With Planned Parenthood performing abortions only, the time for the next step is now. It’s time to press forward!

STILL SPOTS LEFT ON THE MADISON BUS! MARCH FOR LIFE CHICAGO will be held on Sunday, Jan. 15th, 2017. Pro-Life Wisconsin is once again sponsoring a bus that will leave from Madison. Departure time is 9:30a.m. on Jan. 15th from the Dutch Mill Dane County Park and Ride, US 12/18 at Stoughton Road. Please arrive by 9a.m. for boarding.
