Dear Prayer Warriors,

It was quite a sight to see last Wednesday morning when prayer warriors arrived at 7:30am to see Planned Parenthood employees and their victims drive in and wait for the abortuary to open at 8:00am.  Employees entered and prepared for the day’s work of ending life and adding to the coffers of Planned Parenthood, always at the expense of the women and men who didn’t know where else to turn and, of course, at the expense of the innocent and defenseless.  This went on throughout the day, the coming and going, faces and body language showing despair, discomfort, and sadness.  It was the same profile on Tuesday.  The hours were different but the parking lot was full, lives were changed, and lives were lost.

We are now entering the first full week of Lent.  How are you doing on your sacrificial offerings so far?  “Could you not spend one hour with Me?”  Take a look at the vigil calendar and you will see many openings this week.

In solidarity with 40 Days for Life, the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, and the 40 days of Lent, we have added hours on Tuesday and Wednesday and desperately need your help.  We are in need of prayer warriors out on the sidewalk from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday and from 8am to 6pm on Wednesday. This is in addition to the regular hours previously scheduled during 365 for Life.

Without our presence on the sidewalk, those entering Planned Parenthood, as well as those who drive by, will think it’s an ok place to go, that nothing that goes on within those doors is wrong.  We can and do make a difference!  But we can’t do it without ALL of you making a sacrifice!  We need individuals, pastors and parish/church groups, whoever believes that life is a gift and a right to commit to an hour or more of prayer and witness!

Please go to vigilforlife.org/calendar/monthview to view the open hours and sign up.  You can also contact Bette Weisshaar at 608-358-5963 or at info@vigilforlife.org to sign up.

Open Hours This Week:

Tuesday, 2/19/13:  2 people needed at 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm; 1 person needed at 10:00am and noon

Wednesday, 2/20/13:  1 person needed at 8:00am, 9:00am, 11:00am, noon, and 2:00pm; 2 people needed at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm

Thursday, 2/21/13:  1 person needed at each hour – 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm

Friday, 2/22/13:  1 person needed at 1:00pm

As you can see, we have a long way to go in filling the schedule this week.  Do not expect someone else to fill that hour; it’s time to be a part of God’s plan to change hearts and end abortion in all its forms.  Please sign up now!

“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” –  Prov 24:11

Please continue to pray for the young mother who was scheduled for an abortion consultation appointment a few weeks ago.  She and the father of her child had a follow-up visit at the Women’s Care Center, saw an ultrasound of their baby, and left pleased and in anticipation.  However, the follow-up appointment with Planned Parenthood has not been canceled so keep praying that, through the support and counseling they are receiving, they will give their child the right to live.

  • 6 abortion workers quit
  • 1 abortion center closed!

Since the beginning of 40 Days for Life in Fall 2007: 6749 lives saved, 75 abortion workers have quit, 25 abortion centers have closed!

365 for Life

February 11,2013: We have recently received information from reliable sources that Planned Parenthood performs abortions all day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent and spring 40 Days for Life campaigns in communities around the world. We are not doing a spring 40 Days vigil but it appears that the Holy Spirit would like us to pray in solidarity with those who are.

Therefore, we are expanding our 365 for Life prayer vigil to include the hours that Planned Parenthood is open on Tuesdays (9:00am to 5:00pm) and Wednesdays (8:00am to 6:00pm), the days they are taking the lives of the innocent and defenseless.

Let’s work year-round to end abortion—once and for all!Vigil for Life, affiliated with Pro-Life Wisconsin, maintains a “365 for Life” Initiative which continues the peaceful witness going at the Madison Planned Parenthood abortion mill (3706 Orin Road, Madison, WI 53704) every weekday of the year. Find out more about 365 for Life.

Take a stand for life! Sign up for hours here: http://vigilforlife.org/calendar/, or contact Bette Weisshaar at info@vigilforlife.org or 608-358-5963.

As America marks the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision this year, abortion has become the leading cause of death in our nation and worldwide, ending the lives of more than 42 million children each year and harming millions of women – and men.

In the midst of this global crisis, there is new hope.

Beginning with one hour of prayer in Texas in 2004, the groundbreaking 40 Days for Life movement of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils, and community outreach has mobilized more than half a million volunteers in 481 cities around the world. 6,749 babies have been spared from abortion. 75 abortion workers have had a change of heart and quit their jobs. 25 abortion centers have closed. And every baby, every changed heart, every closure is an amazing story.
