Last week Friday a couple was about to turn into Planned Parenthood’s parking lot when they saw a Vigil for Life witness walking (and praying on) the sidewalk. Immediately upon seeing this witness for life the couple turned back to the street and kept driving past Planned Parenthood. As Abby Johnson has mentioned, 75% of appointments are not kept at abortion facilities that have people witnessing for life in front of them. Praise God!

June 7 marks the 52nd anniversary of the Supreme Court decision Griswold v. Connecticut, which set a legal precedent by claiming the Constitution grants women the “right to privacy” in matters of sexual practice. This paved the way for Roe v. Wade and abortion on demand. As in years past, Pro-Life Wisconsin affiliates will observe the day with prayer and a community presence outside abortion mills and birth control centers. Matt Sande, Legislative Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin, will lead this vigil. There will be an ice cream social at Culver’s by East Town Mall afterwards.

Oh God of mercy and grace, as you hung on the hard wooden cross, you asked that those who were putting you to death might be forgiven. Please, Oh Lord, help us to offer that same forgiveness to those who participate in abortion, euthanasia, the destruction of embryonic life and who by other means violate the sanctity of human life, that in all things the world would know the height, the depth, the breadth, and width of your love, your mercy and your grace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
