The formation of a baby in the womb of a mother has beauty beyond words, is a gift and a miracle – such a blessing and a reward! Babies are the perfect way to start a person. We know this yet the world has said otherwise and many have bought into this worldview. That’s the bigger picture of our mission – to change the worldview of babies. Prayer Of Thanks For Vigil for Life Volunteers

Heavenly Father, we thank you for our volunteers.

We thank You for the opportunity to witness for the precious gift of life and for the way that You have used Vigil for Life volunteers to share the gospel of life and the love of Christ to those entering the Planned Parenthood abortion center in Madison.

Lord we know that in many places in the world there is much that tries to stop the message of the gospel of life being shared by Christian volunteers outside of abortion facilities but Father we pray that You would protect all who are part of the army of volunteers who are called into this service, and pray that You would give many opportunities to share the love of Christ, and to share the good news of the gospel of life – so that many lives will be spared from the tragedy of abortion and may be brought into the kingdom of God – in Jesus name we pray,

AMEN

It may be hard to make it to the sidewalk as you can always think of a bunch of reasons to not make it out. Yet – when you do go —> do you ever regret it? Never doubt that God can use your peaceful, prayerful presence on the sidewalk to do great things. He can magnify your sacrifice and prayers on the sidewalk beyond anything we can imagine. (He multiplied two fish and five loaves of bread to feed 5000 – he can multiply your sacrifice and prayers on the sidewalk.)

A Prayer for Fathers
God our Father, We give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old.

We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation and for fathers who have embraced their vocation for many years; May they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice.

We pray for fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; May they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow.

We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice. May they be affirmed in their roles.

We pray for the fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. May they, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Pill Kills (Griswold v. Connecticut prayer vigil)
June 7 marks the 51st anniversary of the Supreme Courts decision Griswold v. Connecticut, which set a legal precedent by claiming the Constitution grants women the “right to privacy” in matters of sexual practice. This paved the way for Roe v. Wade and abortion on demand. As in years past, Pro-Life Wisconsin affiliates will observe the day with prayer and a community presence outside abortion mills and birth control centers.

Vigil for Life will host its vigil on Tuesday, June 7th at 10:30 a.m. on the sidewalk outside of Planned Parenthood, 3706 Orin Rd., Madison. Join Dan Miller of Pro-Life Wisconsin to learn more about the dangers of the birth control pill.

Dear Friends of Life,

In an effort to provide our peaceful, prayerful presence over more of each day of the week at Planned Parenthood; we are changing our schedule beginning Monday, June 6th, 2016. The new schedule will be:

Monday from 9a-3p

Tuesday from 9a-3p

Wednesday from 12p-6p

Thursday from 9a-3p

Friday from 9a-3p

With this schedule change, we will be adding 2 more hours of coverage per week. This adds up to 104 more hours per year. Remember that when there is a peaceful, prayerful presence outside of an abortion facility 75% of scheduled appointments are no-shows. Now, that this facility is an abortion only facility – 75% is a BIG DEAL and has lives saved behind it!

Prayer for the Conversion of Planned Parenthood

Lord, for whom all things are possible,
We are confronted once again today
With the evil of the abortion industry
And the corruption found
In the world’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood.

Lord, we pray for all who plan to be parents, And we ask your mercy on those
Who teach others to reject parenthood.

In the light of your Word, Lord,
We affirm today that children are a blessing from you, And that the origin of all parenthood
Is likewise in You, the God of life and love.

Therefore, Oh God,
We stand against the evil that has been exposed In Planned Parenthood
And in the entire abortion industry.

We stand today for the triumph Of truth over falsehood,
Of light over darkness, And of life over death.

Bring an end to the killing of children in the womb, And bring an end to the sale of their body parts. Bring conversion to all who do this,
And enlightenment to all who advocate it.

“The Women’s Care Center offers free services. They’re here to help you. We’re here to help you too.” How many times have I offered those words to women and men heading into Planned Parenthood? Countless times. How many times has it made a difference? Sometimes it feels like never however over the past few years many have responded. Many have gone across the street to the Women’s Care Center. And – those words have made an impact on countless others who I won’t even know about until we get to Heaven.

Help and hope – that’s what we offer to the women and men heading into Planned Parenthood. Though it often feels like it’s being rejected, we could be offering that last sign of help and hope for a woman or man who is looking for it. That may be all they need to choose life for their baby.

Please bring your help and hope to the sidewalk this week.

Planned Parenthood Quietly Dropped Contraceptive Services, to Perform Abortions Only

The Planned Parenthood abortion center on Madison’s east side now only lists abortion services on its web site, corroborating information about a shift to abortions only that Madison Vigil for Life received weeks ago. The abortion facility’s new hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The change came on Monday, May 2, 2016.

“It is confounding how an organization that claims that abortion amounts to only 3% of the services it provides can perform abortions full-time at the Orin Road location,” commented Laura Karlen, the board president of Madison Vigil for Life. Vigil for Life is a pro-life volunteer group that has peacefully kept vigil in front of Planned Parenthood every business day since January 2011.

According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, the research arm of Planned Parenthood, the average cost for an abortion with local anesthesia is $480 when the baby has developed for 10 weeks in the womb. Before 10 weeks’ gestation, the average chemical abortion costs $504. Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin reported in its 2015 Annual Report that it performed 4,056 abortions between October 1, 2014 and September 30, 2015 and has net assets of $16,024,273. It is classified as a non-profit 501(c)(3).

Laura Karlen added, “We plan to offer abortion alternatives to women facing crisis pregnancies. They need hope and a helping hand, not abortion.”

A prayer for Mothers

All-loving God, we give you thanks and praise for mothers young and old.

We pray for young mothers, who give life and count toes and tend to our every need; May they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.

We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us; May they continue to guide us in strong and gentle ways.

We remember mothers who are separated from their children because of war, poverty, or conflict; May they feel the loving embrace of our God who wipes every tear away.

We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.

We remember mothers. grandmothers, and great-grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love.
